Hotline of power engineering specialists:
Employees of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division held a training seminar for representatives of the Regional Union of Artists in the exhibition hall "Rodina". The power engineers told the representatives of the creative union about the problem of theft of electric energy and ways to combat energy theft. The event was held within the framework of the contest of posters, cartoons and comics "Energy thief! Hold to account!", initiated by the power engineers together with the exhibition hall.
The contest runs from 1 June to 20 October 2018 in the nominations "Satirical drawing (caricature)", "Comics" and "Poster" in three categories: "professional artists", "amateurs", "children of 12-17 years old." The competition accepts works done in any graphic or pictorial technique. Winners in the nominations are determined by a jury consisting of representatives of Belgorodenergo, cultural workers and representatives of the regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.
The geography of the contest has already gone beyond the boundaries of the Belgorod region: it received works from St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, there are applications for the participation of Belarusian artists. And artists of Belgorod supported the unusual idea of the power engineers.
"We have a lot of experience in organizing such events, though not on such an unusual topic," stressed Deputy Chairman of the Belgorod Regional Branch of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia Vladimir Pronkin. "The idea of attracting children to satirical creativity seems especially successful to me. I am sure that the contest will be successful and its conduct will become a tradition."
