Specialists of Kurskenergo got acquainted with new technologies of installation of self-supporting insulated wire

In August, a training seminar on the design, construction and operation of lines with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW) for chiefs, chief engineers and masters of Distribution Zones was held on the site of the indoor training centre of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. More than 60 employees took part in it.

During the seminar, the specialists of the branch got acquainted with new technologies of installation of self-supporting insulated wire, examined advantages of using insulated wires on overhead lines (Conductors) of 0.4-35 kV. The power engineers were presented with improved types of line fittings for suspension and installation, as well as new tools for work on lines with self-supporting insulated wire. In addition, a practical lesson was held at the outdoor training centre of the branch, where the participants of the seminar were able to try out the new technologies for installing SIW in practice.
