Before the beginning of the school year, Kurskenergo intensifies work on prevention of children’s electric injuries

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continues systematic work on prevention of children’s electric injuries.

At power facilities of the branch, located near schools and kindergartens, planned work on repair of power equipment is being performed. Special checks are carried out for integrity of fences and locks, presence of information signs warning of danger of electric shock.

Implementation of planned activities was continued to remove overhead lines and transformer substations from premises of schools, playgrounds and replace overhead lines with uninsulated wire for self-supporting insulated wire (SIW). In particular, the removal of a transformer substation and poles located on the territory of the school stadium of the Veselovskaya secondary school in Glushkovsky district, with the replacement of bare wire with self-supporting insulated wire, was carried out at the section of the 10 kV overhead line (Conductor) of the substation "Veseloye".

One of the important components of the work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries is electric safety lessons that Kurskenergo’s specialists conduct throughout the year. During the summer holidays they were attended by more than 1,500 children, who are taking rest in health and school camps. With the advent of the school year, this work will resume in schools and kindergartens of Kursk and the Kursk region.

Kurskenergo regularly conducts measures to prevent electric injuries. Their goal is to create a culture for teenagers to safely handle electricity and increase the level of knowledge of electric safety rules.
