Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division on the eve of the new school year took a set of additional measures to ensure electrical safety near educational and pre-school institutions.
At all power facilities of the Tambov region, located on the territory and near schools and kindergartens, equipment was inspected for integrity of fences, locks, warning signs about danger of electric shock. Work was carried out to eliminate dangerous defects in poles, wires and other electrical equipment, information signs on danger of electric shock were updated.
The planned work on removal of overhead lines and transformer substations from premises of schools, playgrounds, areas of mass building and replacement of overhead lines with uninsulated wire with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW) was carried out. In particular, the replacement of wires for self-supporting insulated wire was carried out on the territory of schools in the villages of Belomestnaya Dvoinya in Tambovsky district, Goreloye in Tambovsky district and in the settlement of Sadovy in Garilovsky district.
In the new school year, the energy company will continue to work on prevention of electric injuries among children and adolescents. By the end of 2018, Tambovenergo’s specialists will conduct more than 30 electric safety lessons in schools of the region, during which they will tell schoolchildren about the basic rules of behaviour near power facilities and how to properly handle electrical appliances in everyday life.
