IDGC of Centre to provide reliable power supply to the new Voronezh Rowing and Canoeing Centre

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division will provide electricity to the new Rowing and Canoeing Centre, being built in the city of Voronezh.

The sports facility will be erected on the Pridachenskaya Dam of the Voronezh reservoir. Under the project, it will include a rowing station with tracks, finishing and starting towers, sports and children’s playgrounds, boat shelters. One of the main facilities of the Centre will be a sports and health complex with a pool and halls for rowing and power simulators.

The power supply of the new sports complex will be provided from 110 kV substation (SS) #2, located at the Admiralteyskaya Square of the city of Voronezh. As part of the execution of the grid connection agreement, Voronezhenergo’s specialists are to install two new 6 kV line bays with vacuum circuit breakers at 110 kV substation # 2. Two 6 kV cable lines with a length of more than 2.4 km each will be laid from the substation to the sports complex.

Also, the energy company will design and construct a transformer substation with two 400 kVA power transformers on the Pridachenskaya Dam. The whole set of works, which will provide the new Sports Centre with its electric capacity of 376 kW, is planned to be completed in 2019.
