27.08.2018

For two months Lipetsk power engineers carried out large-scale reconstruction of the lighting system of Dankov. The work was completed to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the city.

To improve a new park near the cultural and entertainment centre, crews of power engineers of Dankov carried out the removal of networks from the territory, replaced two cable exits from the transformer substation to newly installed poles with a length of 60 metres, and installed a 140-metre self-supporting insulated wire (SIW). In addition, the facade of the building of the transformer substation was renewed and wooden poles were replaced with reinforced concrete ones.

The power engineers also reconstructed the lighting of the central street of Dankov. In addition to replacing 128 poles and installing 2.5 kilometres of SIW wires, Lipetskenergo’s specialists installed about 100 new energy-saving lighting fixtures.

For the renewal of the power grid in the anniversary city centre, in total Lipetskenergo spent over two and a half million rubles.

"Improvement of the urban environment is one of the main and most pleasant tasks of power engineers. A great work has been done - and now the residents of Dankov and guests of the city have a cozy place with renewed lighting for family evening rest," stressed the chief of Dankovsky Distribution Zone Andrey Shurshakov.

The head of the city of Dankov expressed his gratitude to the power engineers of IDGC of Centre for their contribution to the development of the infrastructure of the city’s power grid and the provision of reliable power supply to the district.
