Tambovenergo in the first half of 2018 saved about six million kilowatt-hours of electricity

21.08.2018

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division summed up the results of the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement program for the first half of 2018. The overall effect of its implementation was 5.942 million kWh.

The main amount of savings - 5.453 million kWh - was obtained from the implementation of organizational measures of the program to reduce losses, including disconnecting transformers in low load conditions in substations with two or more transformers, switching off transformers with seasonal load, and also equalizing phase loads in distribution networks of 0.38 kV.

488.64 thousand kWh were saved due to the implementation of technical measures: replacement of wires for a larger cross-section on overloaded power lines and replacement of wire of taps of overhead lines in residential houses with self-supporting insulated wire. In addition, 338 thousand kWh of electricity were saved, spent on utility needs.

"The branch pays a lot of attention to the implementation of the energy saving and energy efficiency improvement program. This allows annually to reduce electricity losses and decrease the consumption of fuel and energy resources spent on production and economic needs. In addition, Tambovenergo conducts activities aimed at promoting energy conservation among both employees and consumers," stressed Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division director Nikolay Bogomolov.
