IDGC of Centre implements the program of long-term development of metering systems for the electric power grid complex of the Voronezh region

15.08.2018

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division, as part of the implementation of the investment program, continues the modernization of electricity metering systems in the electric grid complex of the region.

As part of these activities, specialists replaced 170 electricity meters at 15 substations of 35-110 kV, and also equipped over 100 transformer substations of 10 (6)/0.4 kV with modern technical metering systems in Vernekhavsky, Kashirsky, Nizhnedevitsky, Novousmansky, Paninsky, Ramonsky and Semiluksky districts of the Voronezh region.

All installed meters have the capability to remotely transmit data to an automated electricity metering system (AMR). The AMR system allows to increase the reliability of electricity metering supplied to consumers in the grid, to keep it under constant control and billing, to receive information on possible theft of electricity promptly.

In total, the energy company plans to equip 142 power centres of Voronezhenergo with automated metering systems in 2018. Thus, more than 80% of 35-110 kV substations of the branch will be covered by the new system. Also, specialists will install more than 3,200 modern digital meters of technical metering in package transformer substations (6-10/0.4 kV package transformer substations).

In general, in the current year, about 147 million rubles are planned to be used to automate electricity metering in the service area of the Voronezh branch of IDGC of Centre.
