Tambovenergo successfully eliminates losses in grids

10.08.2018

IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division summed up the results of the implementation of measures to reduce electricity losses for the first half of 2018. The actual level of losses was 7.09% of the total volume of electricity supply to the grid, which is 0.03% lower than the planned figure. The volume of savings amounted to 474 thousand kWh or 1.335 million rubles.

A significant effect, in achieving the target level of losses, was given by raids to suppress non-metered and non-contractual consumption. From January to June 2018, unscrupulous consumers paid 24 acts of non-contractual consumption for a total of 2.38 million rubles and 62 acts of non-metered consumption, included in the volume of electricity transmission in the amount of 21.9 million rubles (including for previous periods). With the remaining offenders, the debt will be collected forcibly, in court, with the imposition of all court costs on the guilty persons.

Also, the decrease in losses was facilitated by replacement of metering devices that failed or were found to be unfit for billing. Other organizational and technical measures were also carried out. Including - replacement of overloaded and underloaded transformers, replacement of wires for a larger cross-section on overloaded power lines and uninsulated wire for self-supporting insulated wire in places of the largest power losses. Also, transformers were switched off in low load modes in substations with two transformers, transformers with seasonal load and equalization of phase loads in distribution networks of 0.38 kV.

Effective implementation by IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division of measures to reduce losses contributes to improving the efficiency of the electric grid complex, the quality and reliability of power supply to consumers in the Tambov region. The funds saved as a result of their implementation are used by the enterprise, among other things, for development of the electric grid infrastructure of the region.
