IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division completed the fifth season of students’ crews. The closing ceremony took place in City Distribution Zone of Kostromaenergo. It was attended by heads of the branch and the Kostroma Agricultural Academy - one of the educational institutions, whose students performed a labour watch at facilities of the enterprise.
In total, more than 20 members worked in the crew "Energy 44" of Kostromaenergo: in addition to representatives of the KAA, they were students of the Kostroma Power Engineering College named after F.V. Chizhov. The guys worked in City, Kostromsky, Makaryevsky, Volgorechensky, Antropovsky, Sharyinsky Distribution Zones. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, they participated in routine inspections of transformer substations, checking power lines, taking readings of electricity meters, constructing power lines, removing logging residues during clearing of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines, preparing data for grid connection contracts. In addition, the members were involved in the repair of power transformers, overhaul of substations, improvement of premises of the enterprise.
Before allowing the future power engineers to work, the company’s specialists conducted training sessions for them on safety precautions and the use of personal protective equipment. The young people also had leisure. They visited the "Severnaya" substation and co-organized a route game on safety for children in the countryside health camps "Elektronik", "Avtomobilist" and "Siniye Dali", and also played badminton with employees of Kostromaenergo.
At the end of the working season of the students’ construction crews, the management of the Kostroma branch of IDGC of Centre summed up the results of the summer shift and handed the students work record books.
"We learned a lot, although at first it was not easy. We were very much helped by the support of experienced workers. Real professionals work at Kostromaenergo, being responsible for the result of their work. In the future, we would like to replenish their ranks," shared the leader of the crew "Energy 44" Arina Smirnova.
