Lipetskenergo: the plan to reduce losses fulfilled

30.07.2018

Businessmen and private individuals are waiting for massive verification of reliability of transmitted readings.

During the first half of 2018, the productive supply of electricity by IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division was 2,503 million kWh, which is 15 million kWh above the target. Compared to the same period last year, electricity losses were reduced by 34 million kWh.

Electricity losses are one of the key indicators in the activity of Lipetskenergo. The beginning of the year became a rather difficult period for the company - the winter period led to an unavoidable increase in electricity consumption in substations and an increase in load losses.

Reliable and uninterrupted power supply of customers, along with technological energy-efficient measures, is ensured, including by means of actions that exclude unauthorized use of electric energy.

"The active work on reconstruction of distribution grids, construction and improvement of transformer substations, implementation of investment projects for modernization of electricity metering systems, and location and prevention of local sources of losses helped reduce the losses. An important factor was the work on the proper organization of business processes for the transmission of electricity in district electric grids, aimed at the formation of individual tasks, analysis and control of their performance by each of employees of structural units of the branch," said Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division Sergey Koval.

The greatest effect on the detection of non-metered power consumption is brought by joint raids of staff of district offices of electric grids and the security unit. The effective measures include the installation of seals with an indication of magnetic effect on commercial metering devices, as well as commercial metering devices in remote cabinets, anti-vandal and all-weather split-meters. Now such devices are being installed in Gryazinsky district. A total of 23 thousand devices will be installed throughout the whole Lipetsk region for the year, where significant losses have been recorded.

To prevent the growth of losses, in the third and fourth quarters of 2018, Lipetskenergo will carry out measures to verify small businesses, as well as mass checks of metering devices and reliability of transmitted information about meter readings from residential customers.
