In 2018, within the framework of contracts with municipal entities of the Smolensk region, specialists of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division will carry out maintenance of 36,458 outdoor lighting fixtures. The work is carried out within the framework of providing an additional service "Setup of outdoor lighting systems". For individual applications, installation of additional lighting fixtures and construction of outdoor lighting networks are carried out. To perform the work, modern technical means are used, the work is carried out by qualified specialists with observance of the required terms.
Employees of Smolenskenergo together with representatives of municipal authorities continue to improve the street lighting system. Power engineers are developing joint activities with local governments to replace lamps with more sophisticated ones that meet the highest requirements. For 5 months of 2018, 14 such lamps were replaced in Smolensky, Vyazemsky and Yartsevsky districts. By the end of the year, it is planned to install more than 50 lamps in Safonovsky and Yartsevo districts.
Increasingly in streets of settlements of the region, LED lamps are installed that significantly save electricity, they are resistant to low temperatures, do not overheat, evenly illuminate roadways and streets, and do not require expensive disposal at the end of operation. Currently, in the Smolensk region the company has installed more than 1,700 LED lamps.
