IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division continues work on modernization of energy metering systems. Since the beginning of the year the energy company has installed 25 smart metering devices on 6-10 kV overhead lines.
The use of such devices allows for continuous monitoring and metering of electric power, receiving information on equipment failures. The transfer of information from smart metering devices is carried out via wireless communication channels. All this makes it possible to significantly improve the quality of work to identify places of excess electricity losses in the distribution grid.
Before the end of the year, the energy company plans to install 96 more smart metering devices on 6-10 kV overhead lines. In addition, the fleet of devices will be upgraded at 30 substations of 35-110 kV.
Modernization of electricity metering systems and electric grid equipment contributes to reducing losses, increasing the efficiency of the power grid complex, as well as the quality and reliability of electricity supply to consumers in the Tambov region.
