The team of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division took the third place in the mini-football competition "Cup of Power Engineering of Russia 2018", which took place in mid-June in Moscow.
16 teams of enterprises of the country’s energy complex fought for the victory on the field at the academy of the Spartak football club. At the first stage they were divided into four groups, from which depending on the results went to the "gold" or "silver" playoffs.
Representatives of Bryanskenergo with three points took the third place in their group and got into the "silver" playoff. Confidently defeating in the quarterfinals with a score of 3:0 the team "Zagorskaya PSPP", they reached the semifinals, where they lost to representatives of "TREM Engineering". The fight for the third place with the team "RASU" turned out to be stubborn, but in the end the scales bowed in favour of the representatives of the Bryansk branch of IDGC of Centre - 2:1.
According to Anna Gribova, the head of the HR department of Bryanskenergo, the branch pays special attention to popularizing a healthy lifestyle and sport. Bryanskenergo and the primary trade union organization of the enterprise assist their employees in organizing training and acquiring the necessary equipment.
The charitable "Cup of Power Engineering of Russia" in mini-football is an annual sports tournament that is held with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, traditionally gathering about 20 organizations from different parts of Russia and the CIS. Part of the funds from this tournament will go to the Charity Fund for Patients at the P.A. Hertsen Moscow Oncology Research Centre.
