Lipetskenergo upgraded the lighting system in the city of Lebedyan

14.06.2018

The implementation of a joint project with the regional authorities on energy saving has been launched.

The system of street lighting and traffic lights in streets of the city of Lebedyan has been modernized by IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division. The contract for the execution of work was concluded on 4 May, and on 1 June all work was completed.

Lipetskenergo’s specialists completed the modernization, which is called "turnkey": they made and coordinated the reconstruction project, formalized the necessary technical documentation, installed the lighting system. Now the streets of Begovaya, Tolstogo, Mashinostroiteley are fully lighted by modern LED lights with a power of 55W. Until now, it was uncomfortable for local residents to walk in the evenings, since the streets were only lighted in separate sections.

"Reconstruction of the lighting system in the city of Lebedyan is the first step in the implementation of the regional program on energy conservation and energy efficiency. Together with the Energy and Tariffs Department of the Lipetsk Region, a roadmap for project implementation was drawn up. And here, in addition to energy-saving lamps, which we will install in towns and villages of the region, we are talking about the implementation of modern and accurate metering systems. They will be installed in parallel with the lighting system, thereby ensuring a reduction in losses in the power grid," commented the contract execution Sergey Koval, Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division.

Despite the tight deadlines for the execution of the contract, Lipetskenergo fulfilled the work on time. In the city administration of Lebedyan they say that modern lighting systems in comparison with the old ones, reduce costs by one and a half to two times.

"One of the most popular activities of our branch are value-added services. These include not only the modernization of lighting, but installation and replacement of meters, the development of technical conditions for grid connection, maintenance and repair of equipment. So, for five months we have executed 2,720 contracts on rendering value-added services. None of the clients had any claims to the quality and timing of the work," said Sergey Bukarev, the head of the customer interaction department of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division.
