The total overdue debt of Smolenskenergo’s consumers for electricity transmission as of 1 April 2018 amounted to 1.8 billion rubles

08.06.2018

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division held a regular meeting of the financial commission under the chairmanship of the branch’s director, at which the results of the payment discipline of consumers were considered as of 1 April 2018.

The total arrears of enterprises and organizations of the Smolensk region for the transmission of electricity to IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division as of 1 April 2018 amounted to 1.8 billion rubles.

To recover the receivables the power engineers use all tools provided by the current legislation. Claim-related work gives significant results.

Significant overdue debts are still registered with counterparties in respect of whom a bankruptcy procedure was introduced, including the former suppliers of last resort in the Smolensk region: OJSC Smolenskenergosbyt (1.5 billion rubles) and JSC Oboronenergosbyt (68.2 million rubles) and consumers of services: CJSC RAAZ AMO ZIL (90.7 million rubles), LLC Firm Teplo (5.0 million rubles), CJSC SAAZ AMO ZIL (3.1 million rubles), OJSC Iceberg (2.0 million rubles).

Smolenskenergo reminds that the actions of defaulters jeopardize the reliability of electricity supply to consumers in the Smolensk region, since the funds raised for the provision of electricity transmission services are spent by Smolenskenergo primarily to finance the main production activities. Consumers’ debt and chronic underpayment for current consumption in many regions of Russia remain the main problem disturbing the repair campaign and qualitative preparations for the autumn-winter season. It is in connection with the systematic violation of several contractual obligations by a number of customers that energy companies are forced to toughen up measures to recover receivables. Smolenskenergo intends to continue to work consistently to recover accounts receivable, using for this purpose all mechanisms provided by the current legislation.
