06.06.2018

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo jointly with representatives of the State Institution of Emergency Situations of the Orel region conducted a seminar on electrical safety for heads of children’s camps of the region. The event was held at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation with the support of the Institute for Educational Development. The event was attended by 35 teachers from different districts of the Orel region.

The power engineers told them about the rules of safe behaviour near electrical installations and when using autonomous power sources, demonstrated ways of providing pre-medical care to a victim with electric shock. In addition, they provided teachers with literature and presentations on electrical safety, which they can use in conducting classes. The power engineers put special emphasis on observance of norms and rules when using household energy, the most affordable for children. The teachers were advised to conduct educational conversations with parents of their kids, because most of the day children spend at home.

Orelenergo conducts awareness-raising work with teachers of regional educational institutions within the framework of the company’s program for prevention of electric injuries with third parties. On the eve of the summer holidays, the energy company has already conducted more than 50 such classes. By the end of the summer, their number will increase to 100.
