Kurskenergo successfully implements the energy saving program

Implementation of measures of the program for energy saving and increasing energy efficiency is one of the important activities of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. In the first quarter of 2018, the effect from the implementation of energy-saving measures in the branch amounted to 537.2 thousand kWh, which exceeds the planned effect by 32.3 thousand kWh.

The power engineers saved 264 thousand kWh through the implementation of organizational measures to reduce losses. Among them are switching-off of transformers in low-load conditions at substations with two or more transformers, switching off transformers with seasonal load.

Implementation of technical measures: replacement of wires with a larger cross-section on overloaded power lines and replacement of wire of taps of overhead lines in residential houses with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW) allowed saving more than 273 thousand kWh.

According to the plan, the expected effect of implementation of energy-saving measures in Kurskenergo following the results of 2018 will be 2.654 million kWh.
