Power engineers of Tverenergo conducted a clean-up event in the territory of the sponsored children’s anti-tuberculosis sanatorium

25.05.2018

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division conducted a clean-up event on the territory of the sponsored by the branch children’s anti-tuberculosis sanatorium No.2. The power engineers sawed off dangerous and dry branches of trees around the building, collected and removed garbage, and planted dozens of young birches and spruces on the territory of the medical institution.

Employees of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre have been helping the medical institution on a personal initiative for more than a year already. This kind tradition began in 2011, when a coniferous alley was planted on the territory of the sanatorium. Since then, Tverenergo’s employees regularly participate in repair work, purchase of furniture, necessary household appliances, dishes, educational games, and organize holidays and cognitive classes on electrical safety for children.

"Children at the age of two to seven years are treated at the sanatorium all year round, and many of them were left without parental care," said Alexandra Alexandrova, the head of the public relations department of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division. "It’s nice that among our colleagues there are a lot of people who always take part in charitable actions and never refuse to help kids who have had a serious illness. And now we are preparing to hold a big holiday in the sponsored institution, dedicated to the Children’s Day, we are buying gifts and organizing a festive program."
