Kurskenergo started qualifying professional skill competitions of crews for repair of distribution grids

At the training centre of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division in Oktyabrsky district of the Kursk region, qualifying professional skill competitions of crews for repair and maintenance of 0.4-10 kV distribution grids were launched. Experts of specialized crews, who won the first places in qualifying competitions in their sections of Distribution Zones, are competing for the right to be called the best.

The program of the competitions includes seven stages: testing knowledge of regulatory documents on technical operation, labour protection, industrial and fire safety; release of the victim from the action of electric current on the anchor reinforced concrete pole; carrying out resuscitation on a dummy-simulator; replacement of a 10 kV defective bushing at a 0.4-10 kV package transformer substation; primary connection of a residential building from an operating 0.4 kV overhead line without the use of a hydraulic lift; calculation and measurement of loop resistance "phase-zero" in a 0.4 kV network and selection of a circuit breaker for line protection; extinguishing of fire at the 10 - 0.4 kV package transformer substation.

"These are the tasks that our employees solve every day and during emergency repairs," emphasizes Georgy Uzerinov, the head of Kurskenergo’s distribution grid office. "Within the framework of the competitions they will be able to show their knowledge, skills and mastery, exchange professional experience with each other, in order to use it in everyday activities."

The level of training of participants in the competitions is assessed by the main refereeing commission and crews of judges at the stages. The crew - the winner of the competitions will receive the honorary right to represent its Distribution Zone at the final competitions of Kurskenergo, which will be held in June. In addition, by the majority of judges at the stages the best in the profession will be determined.
