Smolenskenergo was visited by veterans of war and labour of the Ministry of Energy of Russia

Representatives of the Council of Veterans of War and Labor of Power Engineers of the Ministry of Energy of Russia came to the hero city of Smolensk to visit memorable places connected with exploits of people during the Great Patriotic War, as well as to meet colleagues from IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division. Among the guests there were veterans directly involved in the construction and operation of power facilities in the Smolensk region.

Members of the delegation visited Smolensky Distribution Zone. Sabir Agamaliev, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division director, and Viktor Frolov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the branch, told the guests about the history and current status of the Smolensk energy system, the activities of the Council of Veterans of Smolenskenergo in previous years and future plans.

Work with veterans is an important activity of Smolenskenergo. The branch pays much attention to the social support of its veterans: they receive material assistance, funds are allocated for jubilee dates and holidays, festive lunches and concerts are organized for the Victory Day and Power Engineers’ Day.
