Employees of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division in early May carried out work on renewal of the Power Engineers’ Alley, located near the specialized university in Smolensk. Employees of the branch, members of the youth council, students of the Smolensk branch of the MPEI, including former construction crew members, many of whom will continue to work in the construction crew of Smolenskenergo this year, took an active part in the work on improvement, planting trees and cleaning the territory.
Annual environmental actions demonstrate Smelenskenergo’s careful attitude to natural resources. The renewal of the alley became the second event of the power engineers within the framework of the All-Russian project "Green Spring", announced by Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky in the period from 21 April to 21 May 2018.
Previously, the company’s youth conducted an environmental campaign to plant oaks in the Dendropark of the National Park "Smolensk Lakes". Also, in the framework of the project in the executive office of Smolenskenergo and Distribution Zones, clean-up events are organized, during which the power engineers put in order the territory adjacent to buildings and facilities of the branch.
