<p>Representatives of the Youth Council of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division initiated an ecological clean-up event in the territory of the National Park Smolensk Lakes.</p>
<p>Employees of Smolenskenergo do not have volunteer landings for the first time in the territory of the National Park, which has the status of a key ornithological territory of international importance and included in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves of UNESCO. Last year the trip was timed to coincide with the Year of Ecology and the program of IDGC of Centre "Green Distribution Zone". This year, the power engineers timed the event for the Year of the Volunteer and the All-Russian ecological clean-up event "Green Spring", announced by the Non-Governmental Environmental Fund named after V.I. Vernadsky in the period from 21 April to 21 May 2018.</p>
<p>The power engineers from the executive office and Smolensk City Distribution Zone of Smolenskenergo visited the Dendropark, located near the village of Boroviki. By the forces of the young power engineers of the company, an alley of oak trees was planted, the territory was cleaned, and plantings of past years were put in order.</p>
<p>This is not the first aid to the park, in 2012 representatives of the Youth Council of Smolenskenergo together with employees of Demidovsky Distribution Zone planted more than 40 pine trees in the territory of the arboretum. In 2017, the youth of the energy company arranged the apothecary garden with flowerbeds of exhibition plants and bushes, dug up and prepared for planting the adjacent territory.</p>
