Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division on the eve of the Victory Day took part in a solemn meeting at the military mass burial in Kurnatovsky street of the city’s micro-district of Somovo. The event was attended by Evgeny Golubchenko, Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division director, Vyacheslav Antonov, Chief Engineer of the branch, employees of Voronezhenergo, veterans of the enterprise and representatives of the administration of the city’s micro-district of Somovo.
The participants of the meeting honoured with a minute of silence the memory of all, who forged the Victory in the rear and at the front, laid wreaths and flowers at the monument to fallen soldiers.
Specialists of Voronezhenergo for several years have been patronizing the mass grave in Somovo, maintaining it in order. So, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, on the territory of the memorial the power engineers together with veterans made the Alley of Glory and planted young trees.
Also, according to the tradition, on the eve of the Victory Day, active members of the Youth Council of Voronezhenergo, with the support of the trade union organization of the branch, visited war veterans and workers of the rear - former employees of the enterprise, congratulated them on the holiday, presented flowers and gifts.
On the festive day of 9 May, Voronezhenergo’s employees will lay wreaths and flowers at memorials and monuments, as well as take part in solemn rallies that will be held in all districts of the Voronezh region.
