Tambovenergo held social actions and commemorative events on the eve of the Victory Day

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division organized a number of events dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War within the framework of the historical and memorial project of the company "Light of Memory".

On the eve of the Victory Day, Tambovenergo’s employees visited participants of the Great Patriotic War and workers of the rear, who worked at Tambovenergo and presented them with gifts and flowers. In addition, the front-line power engineers received financial assistance on the basis of the Collective Agreement of IDGC of Centre. Also, on the eve of the holiday, representatives of the management of the enterprise, the Veterans’ Council and the Youth Council of Tambovenergo, as well as energy veterans of the Great Patriotic War laid flowers to the Memorial Complex "Eternal Flame" and the commemorative sign of the 2nd Guards Army, installed at the entrance to the city of Tambov.

In addition, shortly before 9 May, the power engineers carried out the accomplishment of the memorial to soldiers who died during the war in the village of Kovylka in Kirsanovsky district, where busts of soldiers from the front were born - the only full Cavalier of the Order of Glory Mikhail Abramov and Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Surov. The monument was built on charitable means, with the active assistance of Tambovenergo’s employees, who later established patronage over it. On the eve of the holiday, they, together with representatives of the Youth Council of the branch, with the support of the administration of the village council of Kovylka and pupils of the Kovylskaya school tidied adjacent to the monument area, updated inscription on the monument, covering of the stele and busts, sawed branches of old trees and planted 30 ornamental shrubs.
