Hotline of power engineering specialists:
Specialists of the HR department of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division told future applicants about the company’s activities on the open doors day at the Smolensk Polytechnic College. Future school-leavers were able to find out which specialists are most in demand in the branch, received detailed information about programs for supporting young specialists in the branch, activities of the trade union organization of IDGC of Centre, and much more. The majority of participants of the event took advantage of the unique opportunity to communicate with power engineers, ask questions and learn more about work at the enterprise.
Work on career guidance is conducted by Smolenskenergo’s specialists throughout the year. In order to attract schoolchildren to the profession, Smolenskenergo’s specialists throughout the year conduct vocational guidance talks, tours to power facilities, the Grid Control Centre of the branch, open doors days in Distribution Zones in various districts of the region. Agreements are concluded with school-leavers for targeted training - so, in 2017, 8 students of the Smolensk Polytechnic College received a corporate scholarship. Also, students of this technical school undergo industrial and pre-diploma practice. In 2018, the new form of interaction between the secondary specialized college and the power company was the participation of power engineers as experts at the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for professional skills in the group of specialties "Electric and Heat Power Engineering" held at the Smolensk Polytechnic College.
"Cooperation of the branch with educational institutions in which there are specialties in the energy specialization is a necessary link in the formation of the personnel reserve of the energy company," Smolenskenergo notes.
