Kurskenergo’s employees teach schoolchildren of the region the rules of electrical safety

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continues systematic work on the prevention of children’s electric injuries. One of the important components of this work are lessons of electrical safety, which power company conducts in educational institutions of the region. The next thematic lesson was held at the municipal budgetary general education institution "Secondary General School № 50 named after Y.A. Gagarin", it was attended by more than 100 pupils of junior grades.

The specialists of the branch told the schoolchildren about the role of electricity in human life and why it is important to follow the rules of safe handling. The guys learned why it is impossible to approach ragged wires, climb poles of power lines, penetrate substations. In addition, the power engineers explained to them the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, demonstrated the means of protection and equipment of an electrician. At the end of the lesson, its participants watched cartoons on the topic of electrical safety.

The school’s management thanked Kurskenergo for an instructive and interesting meeting, noting the importance of such classes on the eve of the summer holidays. "Vacations are a time when children are often left unattended by adults, so it is very important to remind them about the rules for safe handling of electricity right now," stressed the school’s director Marina Starikova.

Specialists of Kurskenergo conduct thematic sessions within the framework of the implementation of the comprehensive program of IDGC of Centre for prevention of children’s electric injuries. Annually more than 3,000 children take part in them.
