Yaroslavl power engineers demonstrated specialized vehicles at command and staff exercises

Command and staff exercises on readiness for emergency response in flood and fire dangerous periods were held in the Yaroslavl region.

Together with the regional EMERCOM, fire and rescue units, the forest service, the civil protection centre and other services, IDGC of Centre - Yarenergo division took part in a specialized vehicles review. Power engineers demonstrated a crane drilling machine, an auto-hydraulic lift and a crew vehicle. All vehicles are provided with necessary equipment and can be used to perform emergency and restoration work at power grid facilities that have fallen into the emergency zone.

"Yarenergo" annually performs a set of anti-flood and fire-prevention measures aimed at ensuring reliable operation of power facilities, transformer substations, feeding centres and power lines. To quickly eliminate possible technological violations, the branch has fully restocked the emergency reserve, prepared the necessary forces and means, established interaction and operational communication with units of the EMERCOM, local administrations and hydrometeorological services.
