On the site of the training centre of Korochansky Distribution Zone, there were competitions of professional skills of crews of departments of electricity metering and optimization of losses of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division. Teams of Belgorodsky, Gubkinsky, Alekseevsky, Korochansky Distribution Zones, Belgorod City and Stary Oskol City Distribution Zones took part in them.
The program of the competitions included three stages. The first, theoretical, stage provided for verification of knowledge on the basis of the software package "ASOP-Expert" and the solution of questions in cards. Practical skills of the participants were evaluated at the stages "Replacement of a single-phase electricity meter" and "Instrumental check of a three-phase electricity meter of a transformer connection up to 1000 V".
The most difficult test for the electricians was the instrumental check of a three-phase electric meter. Working under voltage, they had to demonstrate the ability to use a whole range of special equipment and gear, ranging from clamp meters to a reference meter and a volt-ampere-phase meter.
As a result, the winner of the competitions was the team of Gubkinsky Distribution Zone, which scored 497 out of 550 possible points. The team of Stary Oskol City Distribution Zones was the second with only six points behind the leader. The representatives of Belgorodsky Distribution Zone closed the top three with a score of 457 points.
Another confirmation of the high professionalism of the specialists in electric power metering of the winning team was a diploma for the best results in terms of reduction of losses following the result of 2017 among Distribution Zones of the branch, which was awarded by Deputy Head of the branch for sale and development of services Alexander Kosolapov to the head of the energy metering and loss optimization department of Gubkinsky Distribution Zone.
Competitions of professional skills of crews of departments of electricity metering and optimization of losses have been held at Belgorodenergo for the second year in a row. "Such events are one of the most effective forms of personnel training. They allow to assess the level of each participant and the Distribution Zone in general, exchange experience, identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the work and, as a result, contribute to the organization of safe and efficient operation of distribution grids," stresses Alexander Kosolapov.
