Tambovenergo provides reliable power supply to consumers in the region during the flood period

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division continue to work to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers of the Tambov region during the flood period. During the spring snowmelt and spill of rivers, the probability of occurrence of technological disturbances at facilities of the power grid infrastructure in the zone of possible flooding increases. To prevent this, the energy company is implementing a set of organizational and technical measures.

Daily monitoring of the flood situation is carried out. Regular engineering inspections of transitions of overhead power lines through rivers, in floodplains at poles and in other areas, exposed to flooding and erosion, are carried out. Electrical installations that provide power supply to socially important facilities (medical and educational institutions, boiler houses, pumping stations, etc.) are under constant control.

To obtain timely forecasts of the flood situation in the region Tambovenergo has established effective interaction with the hydrometeorological service, local and regional authorities and the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Tambov region.

To promptly resupply consumers in the event of possible emergency situations, Tambovenergo has available 83 first responding mobile and maintenance and repair crews consisting of 448 people with 191 off-road and specialized vehicles. To provide temporary power supply to socially important facilities in the region, mobile diesel-generator sets with a total capacity of 580 kW can be used, if necessary.
