Tverenergo’s specialists quickly eliminate weather-related local technological violations

Strong precipitation in the form of wet rain and snow, accompanied by gusty wind of up to 18 m/s, triggered local outages in Kalininsky, Kimrsky, Lesny, Likhoslavlsky, Maksatikhinsky, Rzhevsky, Sonkovsky, Toropetsky, Vesyegonsky and Zapadnodvinsky districts of the Tver region.

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division were ready to deal with the consequences of bad weather. In connection with unfavourable weather forecasts, a high availability mode of operation was introduced in the branch in advance. Currently, the branch operates a special mode of operation, involving full mobilization of forces and means. Also, a crisis management centre was set up in Tverenergo to eliminate the effects of bad weather.

All fault locations in power lines have been found, there is first responding elimination of technological failures. The Grid Control Centre of the Tver branch of IDGC of Centre conducts continuous monitoring of the situation. 48 emergency repair crews of Tverenergo have started eliminating the consequences of the bad weather. In total, 150 power engineers are involved in the emergency recovery operations. The staff is equipped with all necessary special tools and off-road vehicles. Reserve sources of electricity supply are being delivered to social facilities that fall into the zone of de-energization. If necessary, the grouping of emergency response crews will be increased.
