Smolensk Polytechnic College thanked power engineers for increasing the prestige of working specialties

In the name of Sabir Agamaliev, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division director, a letter of thanks was received from the head of the Smolensk Polytechnic College Ekaterina Sergunina for developing the creative and professional potential of students and actively promoting the prestige of working specialties that the energy company carries out.

"In Smolenskenergo the share of working specialties is currently 49.93%, that is, every second employee belongs to this category. We constantly conduct vocational guidance work with schoolchildren and students, participate in job fairs, where we present a number of working specialties that are always in demand," commented Alla Korolkova, the head of the HR department at Smolenskenergo.

The head of the Smolensk Polytechnic College also thanked in her letter for help in organizing the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of professional skills in the group of specialties "Electric and Heat Power Engineering". Specialists of the company were involved as experts at the stage "Providing first aid to the victim with electric shock", they organized the holding of this stage with the help of the robot simulator "Gosha" and evaluated actions of the participants in providing first aid to victims. This is one of the new forms of interaction between the two organizations.

Mutually beneficial cooperation between the secondary specialized college and the power company has been bearing fruit for many years. Currently, the main areas of cooperation are the implementation of scholarship programs, the admission of students to practice, the employment of graduates, upgrading skills of employees of the energy company within the walls of the school. Only in 2017, 56 students passed pre-diploma and industrial practice at Smolenskenergo, 8 people received a corporate scholarship. 11 students last year after passing the practice were recruited to the branch.
