High school students took part in the first stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of "Rosseti" in Tver

37 pupils of the 9th and 10th grades from Tver and Bologoye checked their knowledge in three subjects - mathematics, physics and computer science.

This year the Olympiad of "Rosseti" is held for the first time in all regions of the country. Its results will help identify talented schoolchildren, who are capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking, who plan their professional activities in the electric power industry. This can help involve them in the development of advanced infrastructure and technology projects relevant to the power grid complex of the Russian Federation.

"The first experience of holding such an Olympiad in Tver showed active interest of schoolchildren in the exact sciences and energy. Dozens of high school students from the regional capital were among the first to express their desire to test their knowledge. We thank the Ministry of Education of the Tver region for the assistance provided to us in organizing the Olympiad," stressed Ekaterina Terekhina, the head of the HR department at IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division.

For two days, on the site of the Tver educational and production centre, the schoolchildren performed assignments in the programs of secondary general education in physics, mathematics and computer science. The next two weeks members of the regional jury of the Olympiad, which included teachers of physics, mathematics and computer science of schools in Tver, as well as teachers of the Tver State Technical University, will be evaluated the results. Following the results of the first stage, winners will be identified, who will take part in the next stage of the event.

The second stage of the Olympiad will be held on 21 April in Moscow, it will be held in the format of participants performing complex tasks aimed at testing creative abilities and skills to apply the available knowledge in physics, mathematics and computer science in solving applied problems in the field of electric power.
