The regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of PJSC "Rosseti" held in Yaroslavl

44 pupils of the 9th and 10th grades from Yaroslavl and municipal districts of the region demonstrated their knowledge in mathematics, physics and computer science in the framework of secondary general education programs.

Organizers of the regional stage were the Yaroslavl branch of IDGC of Centre and the Department of Education of the Yaroslavl region. Significant assistance in carrying out the Olympiad was given by Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K.D. Ushinsky, which provided a platform for the stage. The chairman of the regional jury, the head of the HR department of IDGC of Centre - Yarenergo division, Lyudmila Rozhdestvenskaya noted that the event aroused a high interest among the young people, who decided to take part in the Olympiad. The schoolchildren, who showed the best results, will try to apply their knowledge already for solving applied problems in the field of electric power industry on 21 April at the second stage in Moscow. Winners and prize-winners of the second stage of the Olympiad will be eligible to take part in the energy project shift conducted by "Rosseti" in cooperation with the "Sirius" Educational Centre in the city of Sochi.

The All-Russian Olympiad is held by the company "Rosseti" with the aim of identifying gifted, high school students capable of technical creativity and innovative thinking, planning to associate their professional activities with the energy industry. And, also, to involve them in the development of advanced infrastructure and technology projects relevant to the power grid complex of the Russian Federation.
