Kursk branch of IDGC of Centre invites high school students to participate in the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren of "Rosseti"

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division invites pupils of the 9th and 10th grades of general schools in the Kursk region to take part in the Olympiad of schoolchildren of "Rosseti", which starts at the end of March 2018.

The educational action is aimed at identifying gifted high school students capable of innovative thinking and ready to link their professional activities with the power industry, their involvement in the development of advanced infrastructure and technology projects relevant to the power grid of Russia.

The Olympiad is held in two stages. The first, qualifying stage, will be held on 31 March and 1 April in Kursk on the site of the Southwestern State University in the format of participants performing tasks aimed at checking the level of knowledge in the programs of secondary general education in the subjects "physics", "mathematics", and "computer science".

Winners and prize-winners of the first stage of the Olympiad will get the right to participate in the second stage, which will be held in Moscow on 21 April. On this day, participants will perform a set of tasks aimed at testing creative abilities and skills to apply the available knowledge of physics, mathematics and computer science, while solving applied problems in the field of electric power.

Winners and prize-winners of the second stage of the Olympiad are given the opportunity to participate in the energy project shift of the educational centre "Sirius" (Sochi), organized by PJSC "Rosseti".

Also, the Southwestern State University, a partner of Kurskenergo, will provide the winners and prize-winners of the qualifying stage of the Olympiad with an additional point in calculating their individual achievements at admission.
