Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division, within the framework of the implementation of the comprehensive program for prevention of electric injuries of third parties, conduct electrical safety classes in educational institutions of the Kursk region.
Regular thematic lessons were held at the municipal budgetary general education institution "Secondary General School №57", "Secondary General School №43 named after Zhukov" of the city of Kursk and in the regional budget professional educational institution "Oboyan Agricultural Technical College", more than 250 schoolchildren and students took part in them. The power engineers told them about the nature of the origin of the electric current, its significance in human life, and, most importantly, about when and how it can be dangerous.
The guys learned why it is impossible to approach broken wires, climb poles of power lines, penetrate substation premises - this was the subject of videos they showed. In addition, the organizers of the lesson explained to its participants the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, showed methods of providing first aid to the victim electric shock.
Teachers of the educational institutions expressed their gratitude to Kurskenergo’s employees for their high-level studies. During the year, specialists of the branch will conduct another 200 lessons of electrical safety in educational and preschool institutions of the Kursk region.
