Under the leadership of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Lipetsk region in Lebedyansky district, from 26 to 28 March, operating and emergency services were trained in five different scenarios. In three of them, specialists from Lebedyansky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division were actively involved. During the exercises, the management, operating services and repair crews of the Distribution Zone improved practical skills in restoring energy supply.
Thus, the readiness of power engineers to a break of a 10-kV high-voltage line was tested at unfavourable weather conditions. For carrying out first responding operations the Distribution Zone has necessary engineering equipment, backup power sources of different capacities. Constantly on duty there is an operating and technological group of 9 people, two more are on duty around the clock. In the event of an extraordinary situation, another 27 people are ready to begin work. If necessary, crews of the services of substations and power lines of the High Voltage Grids Office of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division may be involved. In addition, during the command post exercises, the coordination of actions of various services in the event of a possible explosion in a five-story building due to a gas leak was tested. The task of Lipetskenergo’s employees was to quickly disconnect the building from power supply. 10 minutes passed since the alarm signal had been received by the operator before the conditional blackout of the house. The conclusion: the power engineers coped with the task. After receiving information on the completion of the fire extinguishing and rescue operations, an electrician of the first responding mobile crew, with the permission of the operator, put into operation the disconnected equipment.
"Based on the results of the documentary verification, as well as the results of three days of active actions, Lebedyansky Distribution Zone showed the completeness of its crews with the necessary materials, equipment and protective gear. We also have all necessary specialized vehicles that will allow us to promptly perform restoration work at power facilities in case of an emergency situation," Viktor Tatarinov, the chief of Lebedyansky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division said.
When summing up the results of the exercises by the leadership of the General Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the Lipetsk region, the first responding service of the power engineers and blacking-out of Lebedyansky district is marked as excellent.
