Kurskenergo opened the doors for students of specialized educational institutions

The Day of Open Doors was held at IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. About 180 students from seven specialized higher and secondary educational institutions of the region, heads of the enterprise and representatives of the administration of the Kursk region took part in the event.

Acquaintance of the young people with the branch began in the Museum of Energy History of the Kursk region, where they were told about the formation and development of the regional energy system, its leaders and honoured workers. At the Grid Control Centre, the students were shown modern equipment, through which the operating personnel carry out round-the-clock management of the power grid complex.

The official part of the event was held in the auditorium of Kurskenergo. It was opened by the creative team of the branch with the flash mob "Time forward!". Then the students were addressed by Director of Kurskenergo Alexander Rudnevsky: "Kurskenergo is an enterprise with a rich history and labour traditions. Today you have the opportunity to get acquainted with its work from the inside, ask questions of interest to specialists, see what our team lives with. Perhaps in the future it will help someone decide on his or her profession," he stressed.

Sergey Sevryukov, Deputy Director for Sale and Development of Services, Roman Druchin, Head of the Operational and Technological Service, and Alexander Taratin, Head of the Technical Specifications Development and Issue Department, told the students about the specifics of work in the energy sector, opportunities for professional and career growth, and prospects for the development of Kurskenergo’s distribution grid complex. During the meeting, the young people were able to ask questions of interest to the managers and employees of the enterprise.

In addition, the employees of the branch demonstrated their creative talents to the audience: representatives of one of the labour dynasties of Kurskenergo, the father and son of the Alyabyevs, read the poems of their own work from the stage, a romance was performed by an electrician of the Central Station of the substation service Dmitry Pobelenko.

At the end of the event, the heads of educational institutions expressed their gratitude to the leadership of Kurskenergo for an interesting and fruitful meeting.

Open doors days are held at Kurskenergo every year, in order to attract young prospective specialists to the enterprise and popularize the energy profession among students and schoolchildren.
