More than twenty specialists in the field of high technologies arrived today in Lipetskenergo from several regions of the Central Federal District.
Leaders in the field of information technology from Moscow, Yaroslavl, Voronezh and Lipetsk met at the event of the Club of CIOs of the Central Federal District "i-IT". This is one of the largest expert communities, whose members are more than 160 leading IT professionals and IT managers of enterprises and organizations of various industries. In particular, today representatives of the agro-industrial complex, communication enterprises, energy complex, engineering, healthcare and others gathered at IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division. All of them work to improve the competitiveness of business with the help of modern information and communication technologies.
Lipetskenergo presented its strategy for the development of the company in the field of communication to the guests. Already today, Lipetskenergo operates the "Equipment Monitoring System". The CIOs were shown the Grid Control Centre, thanks to which it is possible to see the state of power grid facilities of the region online and react quickly to failures.
"The equipment monitoring system" is a serious step towards the creation of a new generation electric grid complex on the territory of the region, in particular, the implementation of the "Digital Distribution Zone" project. With the help of remote control and communication equipment, it will reduce the time of interruptions in power supply and ensure constant monitoring of the quality of electric energy transmitted to consumers. So, this year the "Digital Distribution Zone" will appear in Usmansky district, and by 2019 it is planned to digitize the Gryazinsky Distribution Zone.
"To date, information technology from an auxiliary resource has become one of the main activities of energy companies. It ensures the maximum efficiency of our work. Therefore, IT departments constantly search for new solutions to ensure the reliability of electricity supply," Evgeny Federyakin, the head of the department of corporate and technological automated systems, explained the importance of his direction this way.
At the meeting of the club, the CIOs discussed the protection of information resources of enterprises from external intrusions, as well as the development of the implementation of modern communication business systems. For example, Skype for Business allows to conduct virtual meetings. Due to this, the time costs for holding meetings not only within the organization are reduced, but also with the coverage of external counterparts.
"Increasing the professionalism of IT managers, sharing practical experience and knowledge, forming the best IT practices for business and, as a result, increasing business efficiency - the significance and relevance of such tasks in the modern economy is difficult to overestimate. Companies today are interested in business development, thanks to the implementation of IT solutions, and not at the expense of saving on IT. One of the main tasks of the Club is to teach IT managers to speak to business in one language," said Alexey Glukhov, the head of the club of CIOs "i-IT" in Lipetsk.
