Power engineers of Kurskenergo conducted an electrical safety lesson for students of a music college

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continue work on prevention of electric injuries. Its important part is lessons of electrical safety, which the power engineers conduct in educational institutions of the Kursk region.

The next lesson was held at the Kursk Music College named after G. V. Sviridov, more than 100 people took part in it.

Elena Rusanova, a leading specialist of the HR department of Kurskenergo, reminded the young people about the rules of behaviour of adolescents near power facilities, drawing, in particular, their attention to the fact that it is not allowed to do a selfie on poles of power lines and to get into transformer substations. The students were shown the principles of step voltage and exit from its zone, told about the significance of warning signs, reminded about the need to observe security zones of power lines.

Great interest among the participants of the lesson was caused by the practical training of skills of rendering pre-medical assistance to a victim with electric shock on the "Gosha" manikin. The simulator is equipped with special sensors, through which the young people were able to assess their level of preparation for resuscitation.

Deputy Director for Educational Work of the Kursk Music College named after G.V. Sviridov Victoria Chkoniya thanked Kurskenergo for the lesson. She noted that it is very important to make explanatory work with adolescents for the prevention of electric injuries.

During the year, the specialists of the branch plan to conduct another 200 thematic lessons on electrical safety in the educational institutions of the region, in which over 3,000 people will take part.
