In 2018 Kurskenergo to clear 773 ha of ROWs of power lines to prevent failures

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division, in the framework of the repair program of 2018, is continuing work on clearing ROWs of overhead power lines. To date, employees of the line service sections and crews of Distribution Zones of the branch have cleared 50.32 ha of ROWs of 0.4-35 kV lines. The largest amount of work has been done in Rylsksky, Glushkovsky and Sudzhansky districts.

Clearing the ROWs is an important component of measures to ensure reliable electricity supply to consumers in the region. It is performed to prevent failures caused by falling trees and branches onto wires of overhead lines. In total, by the end of this year, Kurskenergo plans to clear 773 ha of ROWs of overhead power lines from tree and shrub vegetation. 28.9 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes.
