Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre provided in 2017 more than 60 MW of capacity to new customers

Following the results of 2017, IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division performed 3,364 grid connection contracts. The total connected capacity was 67.7 MW. The overwhelming majority of grid connections (88.2%) is the connection of customers with a maximum capacity of up to 15 kW inclusive, whose connection fee does not exceed 550 rubles.

The leaders in the number of applicants wishing to connect to the branch’s grid in 2017 were Smolensky and Vyazemsky districts of the region, as well as the city of Smolensk.

Accessibility of grid connection is a key factor in the development of business in the region, ultimately determining the investment attractiveness of the Smolensk region. That is why the grid connection of the applicants’ facilities is a priority task IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division. In the current year Smolenskenergo intends to ensure the timely implementation of new connections, strive to simplify the procedure and reduce the time for connecting the applicants’ electrical installations to electric grids.
