Kurskenergo reduces accounts receivable

05.03.2018

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division conducts systematic work to recover accounts receivable for electric power transmission services.

The enterprise implements a set of measures for repayment of debts, including in cooperation with the administration of the Kursk region. Representatives of the branch’s management are part of the working group on taking measures to minimize the debt of consumers to resource-supplying organizations established under the administration of the region. Monthly, at its meetings, deadlines are set and debt repayment schedules are drawn up, the execution of which is controlled by members of the working group.

One of the most important areas of work on the return of debts is claims and lawsuits. In 2017, Kurskenergo managed to recover from debtors 231.3 million rubles. At the moment, there are 39 claims in courts of various instances for a total of 132.8 million rubles, prepared by specialists of the legal unit of the branch.

Despite the efforts of power engineers, the level of accounts receivable remains high: as of 1 February 2018, the total debt of counterparties to Kurskenergo was more than one billion rubles, including over half a billion rubles - overdue debts.

The municipal unitary enterprise "Gorteploset" and "Gorvodokanal" of the city of Zheleznogorsk (the debt amounts to 18.5 million rubles and 26 million rubles, respectively) and Regional Energy Retail Company (the debt is 61 million rubles) remain major debtors of the branch. Despite the fact that at the end of 2017 Kurskenergo managed to get some of their receivables repaid, these companies continue to accumulate new debts.

The enterprise intends to continue work on recovery of accounts receivable, using for this purpose all the opportunities provided by the current legislation. At the same time, the energy company is ready to consider the best ways of repaying the debt for both parties, and in some cases to take into account the current financial capabilities of counterparties.
