Lipetsk power engineers spent the last weekend under the slogan "For sports and a healthy lifestyle!". Starting from Friday, employees of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division took part in various winter sports competitions.
On 9 February, in Usmansky district on the ski track of Peskovatsky Forest the regional mass race "Ski Track of Russia 2018" took place, in which employees of Usmansky Distribution Zone took part. This All-Russian project is one of the largest winter sports events in the world in terms of the number of participants and geographical coverage. More than 250 people took part in the competitions in Usmansky district. On 10 February, the "Ski Track of Russia 2018" race was also attended by employees from other Distribution Zones.
The main event of Lipetskenergo’s sports weekend was a mass one - "Health Day", held on 10 February at the ice palace "Iceberg" in Zadonsk. Lipetskenergo has already organized this truly spectacular winter holiday for many years for its employees and their families. The first item in the program of the event was a hockey match between the teams of two energy companies of the Lipetsk region: IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division and OJSC Lipetsk Power Sales Company. The victory in fair fight was gained by the hockey team of Lipetskenergo with a score of 10:4.
The holiday continued with mass festivities with amusing relay races in mascot suits and a traditional winter dance with folk songs. Fun contests and children’s bowling with huge figures of Eskimo were organized for the youngest. The holiday was finished with exciting competitions in weight-lifting and tug-of-war. The winner in the weight lifting was an electrician for operation of distribution grids of the 4th category of a crew of overhead lines Roman Lubin, the second and the third places were taken by an electrician for repair of equipment of distribution devices of the 4th category of Chaplyginsky Distribution Zone Dmitry Arkhipov and an electrician for operation of distribution grids of the 3rd category of Zadonsky Distribution Zone Igor Neplyuev. The team of Volovsky Distribution Zone was the first to pull the rope for the second year in a row, and the teams from Usmansky and Terbunsky Distribution Zones, respectively, took home silver and bronze. A diploma in the nomination "The Most Active Distribution Zone" was taken by employees of Stanovlyansky Distribution Zone.
Lipetskenergo’s sports marathon was continued by Nikita Sinitsyn, an operator of the operational and technological service of the Grid Control Centre. He took part in the 22nd ski race "Nikolov Perevoz 2018" under the program of ski marathons "Russialoppet", held on 10 February in the city of Peresvet of the Moscow region. Nikita Sinitsyn overcame the distance in 40 kilometres of cross-country with free style for 2 hours and 11 minutes.
"Sports competitions unite Lipetskenergo’s employees not only in the struggle for prizes, but also in the general corporate sports holiday, healthy lifestyle and excellent mood," stressed Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division director Sergey Koval.
