941 employees (454 heads, 141 specialists, 346 workers) were trained, retrained and advanced in various forms and directions at IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division in 2017. Total costs for personnel training amounted to 6.35 million rubles.
The whole system of organization of training of the branch’s staff in 2017 was aimed at maintaining high professional level of employees, creating conditions for their career and personal growth. Personnel were provided with vocational training and certification for the right to be allowed to perform a particular type of work. In 2017, 109 people upgraded their qualifications with a knowledge of labour protection in the operation of electrical installations, another 31 employees were trained and certified for the right to work with hazardous waste, and 34 employees - according to fire safety rules.
An important issue in the field of professional retraining and advanced training was the training of specialists with electrical specialization. 122 employees of the branch passed professional retraining and advanced training in the branch of NRU MPEI in the city of Smolensk, the Petersburg Energy Institute, the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University and other specialized educational institutions.
Separate attention in preparation for the autumn-winter period was given to the professional training of personnel of the mechanization and transport service. In particular, one employee was trained and certified for work permit as a bulldozer driver, two as excavator drivers, 24 employees of the service were trained to train instructors and in the future will be able to test and train newly employed drivers in the methods of defensive and safe driving. 10 employees were trained and certified as responsible persons for permitting vehicles on the line.
At the end of the year, 172 masters from all Distribution Zones of the branch passed a distance course of lectures at the Kirov Training Centre "Energetik". The training was held under the programs "Organization and safe performance of works in electrical installations" and "Organization and procedure for performing operational switching in electrical installations". The training was organized with the aim of increasing the level of professional training of production personnel, reducing accidents and strengthening control over observance of labour protection requirements. The course of lectures ended with a production exam.
In 2018, employees will be trained on the topics "organization of operation and production at facilities controlled by Rostekhnadzor", "carrying out tests and measurements", "organization of transportation and permit of vehicles on the line", "admission to work as a resuscitation instructor and training of personnel with methods and ways of first aid. A total of 850 people are expected to be trained this year.
