The cumulative effect of implementing measures to reduce technical losses in 2017 exceeded 3 million kWh of electricity. In general, under the program of energy saving and energy efficiency increase, IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division saved 8.9 million kWh, which was 127% of the planned volume.
The branch started implementing 6-10 kV transformers with reduced losses in 2016. To date, all 6,10/0.4 kV transformer substations are equipped with energy-efficient transformers, which provide power supply to settlements, micro-districts of individual housing construction and grid connection facilities. Last year, the economic effect of installing 164 energy-efficient transformers with a total capacity of 37 MVA exceeded 1.3 million kWh, which in monetary terms exceeded 2.5 million rubles.
The list of measures also includes the replacement of wires for a wire with a larger cross-section, equalization of loads by phases in a 0.4 kV distribution network, shutdown of unloaded transformers and transformers with a seasonal load, comprehensive modernization of substations, etc.
The most important priority for 2018 remains a consistent reduction in losses and energy savings for industrial and utility needs. The program of energy saving and energy efficiency increase of the branch for 2018-2022 introduced requirements of Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 27.09.2016 No. 971 regarding the planned increase in the volume of LED lamps and lighting fixtures at enterprises and organizations. In 2017, 3,550 LED lighting fixtures were already installed at Belgorodenergo’s facilities, which is 24% of the total number of lighting devices. In 2018, their number will increase to 30 percent.
