25.01.2018

IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division summed up the results of the work on prevention of children’s electric injuries in 2017.

One of its most important components are lessons on electrical safety, which the power company conducts in educational institutions of the Kostroma region. Last year they held about five hundred such classes in more than one hundred schools. About 11 thousand children and teenagers became their participants.

Specialists of Kostromaenergo told the schoolchildren about the basic rules of electrical safety and the importance of warning signs installed on electrical equipment, demonstrated methods of providing first aid to the victim with electric shock. To consolidate this knowledge, the children were helped by thematic videos, as well as contests and quizzes. At the end of the lessons, participants were given specialized brochures and posters.

In addition, for senior pupils and students of technical schools, tours to power facilities of the branch were organized, during which they, in particular, they were introduced to the rules of behaviour near electrical installations. The work continued in the summer months in the school and suburban camps for children’s recreation. The power engineers together with employees of the EMERCOM, the All-Russian Voluntary Fire Society, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Inspection of Small Vessels, conducted 18 route games there. More than two thousand children took part in them.

In 2018, specialists of Kostromaenergo continue active preventive work with the younger generation. They conduct it both on their own initiative, and in response to requests from the leadership of educational institutions in the region. You can apply for electrical safety classes by contacting Kostromaenergo’s public relations department or on the corporate website of IDGC of Centre, following the link https://www.mrsk-1.ru/about/projects/safety/.
