In subdivisions and Distribution Zones of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division the first Safety Day was held in 2018.
The commission, which included managers and specialists of the executive office, the production safety and industrial control department, the technical unit, the mechanization and transportation service, checked the elimination of the shortcomings revealed during the Safety Day in December last year. The knowledge of the rules and peculiarities of operation of electric grid equipment in the autumn-winter period was checked with first responding and operating personnel, and schemes for connecting backup power supply sources to socially significant facilities were tested.
The power engineers worked out skills of prompt assistance in the event of an emergency. The staff of the mechanization and transportation service passed an additional briefing on observance of traffic rules and speed rates in connection with sharp changes in the weather and resulting icy conditions on roads.
According to the results of the Safety Day in January, about 200 measures have been planned aimed at improving the professional skills of employees, increasing the level of safe operation of electrical equipment.
Safety days are held in all branches of IDGC of Centre every month to prevent occupational injuries, increase labour discipline and production culture.
