IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division continues regular work on prevention of children’s electric injuries. One of its important components is lessons of electrical safety, which the company’s specialists conduct in educational and preschool institutions of the region.
The first in the new year thematic classes took place in schools of Bolshesoldatsky, Konyshevsky and Timsky districts. They were attended by more than 300 pupils aged from 7 to 16.
The power engineers told the schoolchildren about the role of electricity in human life and why it is important to follow the rules of safe handling, explained the importance of the main warning signs placed on power grid infrastructure facilities. Particular attention during the lessons was paid to the rules of behaviour near power facilities. The pupils learned why they must not play next to power lines, climb power line poles and transformer substations and do a "selfi" at them. In addition, the organizers demonstrated to them ways to provide first aid to a victim with electric shock.
During the year, Kurskenergo’s specialists will conduct about 200 lessons of electrical safety in schools and kindergartens of the Kursk region.
