Smolenskenergo brings debtors to justice

11.01.2018

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division continue to struggle against non-metered consumption of electricity and work aimed at reducing receivables of consumers. At the same time, the power engineers’ actions are based on the measures of impact defined by the current legislation.

In the repayment of the debt for the transmitted electric energy, the claim and legal action is effective. However, it is not always possible, even by a court decision, to quickly return the debt and bring the non-payers to justice. For example, in the summer of 2017, the security department of the branch sent an application to the Interdistrict Department of Bailiffs for Special Executive Proceedings of the Federal Bailiff Service Directorate of Russia in the Smolensk region requesting that the director of a limited liability company be prosecuted under Article 315 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

"Smolenskenergo intends to continue to seek the return of all debts. The branch is interested in improving the situation with the payment discipline of consumers, since the presence of receivables makes it difficult to fulfill the obligations to ensure reliable electricity supply to the region, has a negative impact on the implementation of the production plans of the power company, which can directly affect the reliability of the power supply of the region’s residents," commented Deputy Director for Security - head of the security department Vladimir Cherdantsev.

Smolenskenergo reminds that timely responding to the claims of the electricity supplier, you will save money and time. The branch could use the unreceived funds for the provision of electricity transmission services for repair and modernization of the region’s power grids and electric facilities.
